I have used other finance programs in the past (MS Money and Quicken), but have always ended up giving up after a few weeks due to unfriendly and over complicated interfaces. Personal Finances pro is another matter – the program is a joy to use; the beauty of the product lies in its simplicity. I have been using it since the start of 2009 & still find it a joy to use. Put simply, it does exactly what it says on the tin and does it very, very well without over complicating matters. Highly recommended.

The fact that this software could do all that I wanted it to do, without being really complex is great. A lot of financial software is so feature heavy that it becomes quite focused on the particular country it's developed for (eg for tax management, etc). This software was a quite simple financial management system that means it was easily usable in Australia. Basically, this software is exactly what we were after, being able to track and report on our income and expenses.

As a long term Quicken user I was forced into buying new software when my old version would no longer run on Windows Vista and Intuit no longer sold their poduct in Europe. I searched the internet for a replacement and found your application. The choice available for personal use is fairly limited, if you don't have a knowledge of accountancy or spreadsheets. I chose yours because:
1. The option of a free trial. (better than buying blind)
2. The simplicity and flexability of the system. I can enter as little or as much information as I wish about each transaction. Not everyone needs to manage a stock portfolio.
3. The program is easy to learn and use, no need to spend a lot of time studying help files. Up and running very quickly
4. Good price.

I 've worked with similar software in the past, from Microsoft Money to other less known ones, I even created my own "solutions" using Access and Excel-that's as far as my programming knowledge goes, but your product is so simple and light to view and use that it is almost genius.

In any case I wanted to tell you that I am absolutely delighted with your program. I found it when I did a search for personal accounting software. For many years I had tracked the money in my Chequing account by dividing it into 10 – 12 mini-accounts in my own loose leaf “Budget Book”. The sum total of these accounts always agreed with my actual bank account. All deposits and withdrawals from the real bank account were mirrored in my mini-accounts, but transfers between my mini-accounts were not seen in the real bank account. With your program I was able to continue with the same system of mini-accounts and the summary feature readily reveals how my mini-accounts reconcile with my real bank account. The best part is that I don’t have to add it all up with my calculator because the totals are automatically adjusted in the program. I think it is an excellent program and I am really enjoying using it.
